Gene Letourneau, 86, of Waterville, the outdoors writer for the Guy Gannett newspapers since 1930, on Tuesday injured his hip while staying alone at his cabin on remote Chemquasabamticook Lake in the Allagash region. On Wednesday Letourneau made the eight-tenths of a mile trip to his vehicle and drove himself home. Details.
