Abstract

Article about the towns of Casco and Naples, which are cooperating with each other in order to cut municipal costs and improve services. So far, they have created a central town fire and rescue dispatch center; jointly funded a trash transfer station, which they share; and purchased a ladder truck for fighting fires. The cooperative agreements worked out by the towns are seen as possible models for other communities willing enter into such agreements. With brief demographic profiles of the towns.
