Abstract

Article about efforts of Portland's Friends of Evergreen Cemetery to restore the cemetery's Wilde Memorial Chapel, which was built at a cost of $20,000 by Mary Lund Wilde in memory of her husband in 1902. Architectural services for the renovation have been donated by Millan Gallard and Joseph Delaney. The restoration will proceed as funds permit, and the Friends of Evergreen are trying to establish appropriate uses for the chapel.
