Abstract

Members of the Maine Youth Protection Council, a non-profit organization formed to fight discrimination against young people and lobby against welfare cuts, are renovating a Brackett Street apartment as part of the Community Employment Project. The Council hopes to offer the apartment to low-income youth, and hopes to work against gang violence and hate crimes.
