University of Maine System acting chancellor J. Michael Orenduff has been recommended to the system's board of trustees as the best candidate for the permanent position of chancellor. Orenduff, 49, has been president of the University of Maine at Farmington since 1988, with one year off when he acted as interim president of the American University in Bulgaria. Details.
