Abstract

In a consent decree approved by Superior Court justice Bruce Chandler, brothers Donald Chute, 21, and Ronald Chute, 20, both of Pittsfield, have agreed to stay away from the Maine Central Institute for one year. The agreement, reached with Maine Attorney General Michael E. Carpenter, stems from an incident at the school earlier this month during which the Chutes allegedly yelled racial epithets at African-American dormitory students. Details.
