Abstract
The nuclear submarine USS Thresher sank in April 1963 with 129 crewmen aboard, all of whom perished in the accident. A Navy document released last week states that faulty wiring was the probable cause of the sinking, a statement which doesn't make people at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, which helped build the submarine, feel very good.
