Abstract

The Maine State Police have 10 troopers who specialize in vehicle forensics and traffic accident reconstructions, and their work has become increasingly important in determining the events leading up to difficult accident cases. Recent cases on which the forensics specialists have worked include a fatal accident in Eddington on September 19 and the Maine Turnpike crash which claimed the lives of four Lewiston area youths in October.
