Abstract

The South Portland High School marching band has grown from 18 playing members four years ago to 51 this year, plus two drum majors and a 19-member color guard. This Friday the band will attend the state championship at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland to challenge Westbrook High School's band for the right to be called the best in the state. Details.
