Abstract

Now that Maine voters have ratified the nuclear waste compact with Texas, the Vermont Legislature and the U.S. Congress must approve the deal. Lawsuits in Texas seeking to halt the agreement must also be dealt with before Maine's low-level nuclear waste can be shipped to the proposed dump site in the west Texas desert. Details.
