Abstract

Four people have drowned while diving for urchins in Maine waters in the past year, and three of those drownings involved individuals who were diving for urchins for just their first or second time. The lure of quick and easy money has a large number of inexperienced people flocking to the sea urchin industry, resulting in the high rate of fatal accidents. Details.
