Abstract
Portland's WCSH-TV (Channel 6) and Public Cable Company have reached an agreement that brings the station back on the cable lineup for the first time since WCSH pulled its signal on October 6 over a dispute as to whether Public Cable should compensate the station for rebroadcasting its programming. WCSH appears to have gotten nothing from the agreement, while being forced to make several concessions. WCSH officials deny they were promoted to make a settlement because of a desire to get the station back on cable in time for the autumn ratings period.
