Abstract

Freeport Town Manager Dale Olmstead on Monday fired Deborah Libby as the town's rescue chief, but would not give his reasons for the action. Libby said the firing was in retaliation for her reporting the improper removal of asbestos from the former public safety building before the structure was demolished this summer, but Olmstead denied the charge.
