Abstract

In this "Year of American Craft," the Maine Crafts Association is sponsoring both the Portland Craft Show, scheduled for November 20-21 at the Holiday Inn by the Bay, and "Makers '93," an exhibition of crafts at the Portland Museum of Art. The difference between art and crafts is that crafts have a functional use, even though crafts can be of the same high quality as objects of art. Details, related articles.
