Abstract

The Maine Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association has announced it will not oppose the nomination of Edward McLaughlin for commissioner of the Maine Department of Agriculture. McLaughlin, head of the Maine Blueberry Commission, last summer came under fire from organic growers for his unconditional of Velpar, a herbicide used widely in the blueberry industry.
