Abstract

The Maine Environmental Priorities Project, touted by some as a model for determining the most cost-effective way to protect the environment, has a deadline of June 1996. The MEPP has three working groups studying risks to human health, ecological systems and quality of life, but is around six months behind schedule and is not likely to meet the deadline. Much of the delay is due to the writing of technical reports, and the need for more staffing has become apparent. Details.
