Abstract

The Maine Land Use Regulation Commission last week voted 4-2 to approve the Kenetech Windpower proposal to construct a 250-megawatt windpower project in the Boundary Mountains. Pamela Prodan, a Wilton attorney, is helping to found Friends of the Boundary Mountains, and says an appeal of the LURC decision is likely. Kenetech has applied for permits to build a 100-megawatt facility on the north shore of Quebec's Gaspe peninsula.
