Abstract
The Old Orchard Beach Town Council on August 10 revoked the business license of the Hobo Jungle, a chem-free cafe. Police had received a dozen noise and disorderly conduct complaints directed at the establishment, and Town Council Chairman Marc Bourassa later acknowledged that eight or ten of the complaints were filed by John O'Neil, owner of the neighboring Executive Motel. Hobo Jungle owners John Millard, Chris Tryba and Michael Hurtubise have kept the cafe open despite a daily $100 fine from police. Details.
