Abstract

"Film Review" piece on the reopening of the Alamo theater in Bucksport. The Alamo first opened in 1916, closed in 1956, and has housed a grocery store, a dance hall and a video store. Karan Sheldon and David Weiss, founders of Northeast Historic Film, purchased the building in 1992, and last week premiered Diane Lee's film "Who Will Say Kaddish for Shapiro?"
