Abstract
Lisa Kane of the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife says there are a number of ways that people can make their property more appealing to wildlife. Wildlife Commissioner Ray Owen provides habitat by not mowing his lawn and planting a variety of native fruit-bearing shrubs. Kane has developed two demonstration gardens at the Gray Animal Farm, with lists of plantings.
