Abstract

Tax caps limited the Whitefield school budget for three years before the defeat of a fourth tax cap measure last spring. Evelyn Horton accepted the principal's position at Whitefield School in 1995, bringing a focus on the needs of the town's children and on community relations. Horton resigned after less than a year as principal, and Larry McNutt took over the helm. McNutt, most recently chief administrator and director of the Region 8 Area Vocational Center in Rockland, plans to review the school's curriculum and establish discipline.
