Abstract
The Maine Land Use Regulation Commission has denied an appeal from Alan Szarka of the Jackman Border Reporter to reopen the case on the rejected Spencer Lake boat launch facility. The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, which proposed the boat launch, earlier withdrew its request to have the case reheard. In other matters, LURC said it will recommend approval for reconstruction of Churchill Dam on the Allagash Wilderness Waterway. Voters last November approved $1.4 million for a concrete replacement for the dam, as well as a new boat launch and parking area. Details.
