Abstract
Winterport, with 3,600 residents and 62 miles of road, was hard hit by the ice storm of January 1998. Three snow-plow operations covered the town in the aftermath of the storm, and received reviews from residents. Steve Clisham II, one of the three plowers, said he won't plow again in his home town. Stanley Crossman, another of the plowers, said people who had never plowed before claimed to know how to do it better. Winterport officials are discussing the option of purchasing equipment and hiring employees to operate it. Details.
