Abstract
A look at the unexpected passage of L. D. 1730, which bans jet skis from 245 lakes and ponds around the state. The great majority of Maine's 5,200 Great Ponds is unaffected. All other New England states have already restricted jet ski use, in many cases much more comprehensively than in Maine.
