Abstract
Acadia National Park is the first national park to ban jet skis. The Friends of Acadia, which ultimately wants to ban jet skis from all ponds on Mount Desert Island, is now working to ban them from Long and Seal Cove ponds, which are not fully within the park's boundaries. Recently-passed legislation limits the use of jet skis in Maine. Related editorial.
