Abstract
Chris Holmes and six Presque Isle-area farmers run the Maine Specialty Potato Farmers Cooperative with the dual goal of making potatoes more attractive to shoppers and selling them in a more personalized manner. They plan to sell smaller bags containing specific varieties of potatoes of uniform, labeled "Preferred Potatoes." They also hope to teach buyers how to tell potatoes apart and how to appreciate the best uses of each variety.
