Abstract

A building near the State House in Augusta, bought for $512,000, will become the new home of the Natural Resources Council of Maine. The NCR is currently housed in two buildings at 271 State Street, where the vertical layout through five floors make face-to-face communication difficult . The new building, 12,000 square feet in size and a shorter walk to the State House, will improve internal communications and will provide guest office space for out-of-town environmental groups visiting Augusta.
