Shop 'n Save supermarkets in Old Town, Lewiston and Auburn are serving as test sites for the new Katahdin, Kennebec, Green Mountain and Yukon Gold potatoes. Chris Holmes, who runs the cooperative, said growers can only produce about 40,000 pounds a week, but he expects production to increase with market demand.
