Abstract
"Second Story" piece on the Ducktrap River, which winds from Tilden Pond to Penobscot Bay. Its corridor is wild today, and much of it will remain so: two-thirds of the banks, over 2,000 acres, is now permanently protected conservation land. More than half the land has been conserved in just three years through the work of the Ducktrap Coalition. With details on individual parcels acquired and the sources of funding.
