Abstract

A plan proposed by the business-oriented Maine Alliance to streamline and balance Maine's natural resource protection laws and its economic development permit system faces opposition from key environmental groups in the state. A hearing for the bill before the Energy and Natural Resources Committee has yet to be scheduled.
