Abstract

The East Coast Tuna Association is hoping to change the recently established 1995 bluefin tuna allocations, which would cut the amount caught this year by 35 percent. The group disputes environmentalist and National Marine Fisheries Service assertions that the Western Atlantic bluefin populations are in jeopardy.
