Abstract
"News" piece on a turf war between Central Maine Power (CMP) and the Kennebunk Light & Power District (KL&P). Raymond and Elaine Jordon want to bring power into their new home in Lyman, which is on the edge of CMP's service territory. But KL&P has offered to provide the service for $4,100, versus CMP's asking price of $15,000-plus. The Jordons have filed a complaint with the Public Utilities Commission. Meanwhile, the Public Advocate's Office is trying to negotiate a compromise, and Sharon Staz of KL&P reports that CMP has lowered its price "substantially."
