Abstract
Pownal residents last week gathered to protest the Maritimes and Northeast proposal to run a natural gas pipeline through the town. The Pownal Board of Selectmen has voted to oppose the project, and the town is planning to deliver a letter asking for a meeting with Gov. King. James Hale Tukey wrote a protest song for the November 22 meeting. Song lyrics.
