Abstract
The Baxter State Park Authority has voted 2-1 to open the park's recent 2,669-acre addition to hunting and trapping. The authority also voted to allow vehicle access along the West Branch of the Penobscot River as long as the existing road is safe, and decided against reconstructing the road or Abol bridge. Park Director Buzz Caverly disagreed with both votes. Details.
