Abstract

Some homeowners on the waterfront in Sorrento are upset about the level of harbor noise, which has increased dramatically since the town boat launch was built 15 years ago. Commercial fishermen from as far away as Steuben and Jonesport like the Sorrento harbor because use of the boat ramp is free, and it remains one of the few ice-free harbors local draggers can rely on during the winter.
