Abstract

Residents of Kennebunk voted 165 to 95 against approving a request by the town's Affordable Housing Committee to apply for a $400,000 grant from the Maine State Housing Authority, the second time the request had been voted down. Creative Housing Alternatives for Maine People of Sanford had proposed a 25-house subdivision along Cat Mousam Road, and the grant would have allowed CHAMP to sell the houses to sell for roughly $75,000.
