Abstract

Avian Farms President Robert Saglio last week announced that the Waterville company will invest as much as $20 million to expand in Maine. Plans also calls for moving the firm's headquarters to Portland and expanding facilities in Georgia and possibly Kentucky. Saglio was courted heavily by southern states, but decided to remain in Maine because of the local work force and incentives offered by the state.
