Abstract

Baxter State Park officials have ordered a halt to the dumping of untreated human waste in the park, and will now haul the waste from 60 sealed-vault toilets to Lincoln at a cost of $24,000 a year. The park toilets had previously been pumped out once a year at $50 per toilet, with the waste sprayed onto seven disposal areas scattered through the park. Details.
