Description
Full exterior view of Stevens Avenue Congregational Church, 790 Stevens Avenue, from east.
The congregation's beginnings date back to 11 October 1885 when the Rev A.C. Marsh of Woodfords Congregational Church preached in Morgan's Hall (Morrill's Corner) in Portland.
The church building was built in 1888, as the Free Church of Deering, with the name changed to Stevens Avenue Congregational Church in 1913.
