Description
Exterior view of Bicknell's storefront, 517 Congress Street, from south. Bicknell Photo Service had just moved into the former Cressey and Allen storefront, in Mechanics Hall, in 1960. Bicknell's also operated a photo developing lab at 20-24 Free Street, and moved their retail store from the Chapman Building Arcade (477 Congress Street) to the 517 Congress location. Bicknell's moved to a large photofinishing facility they had built in Scarborough, and the storefront occupant subsequently became Fotoshops (1974-2009).
