Description
Full exterior view of the Portland Stove Foundry, 57 Kennebec Street, from south. The building was on the northwest side of Kennebec Street, between Chestnut Street and Pearl Street. Chestnut Street at left; Kennebec Street at right.
The Portland Stove Foundry began business in 1877, and the building on Kennebec Street was built in 1882. The business, producing coal and wood stoves, closed in 1984.
