Description
Full exterior view of the Congress Square Hotel building (later known as Congress Square Plaza Building, and Congress Square Apartments), 579 Congress Street, from east. The building is on the southwest corner of Congress Street and Forest Avenue.
The Congress Square hotel building was constructed in 1896 on the site of the earlier City Hotel. The 7th floor of the building was home to radio station WCSH.In 1978, the building was converted into subsidized housing units.
