Abstract

The South Portland City Council yesterday voted to ask the state to approve the creation of a tax increment financing plan for National Semiconductor. Under the plan, National Semiconductor will receive $4 million in tax relief over the next decade, in exchange for investing $115 million in an expansion of its Western Avenue facility. Details.
