Abstract

Article describes the importance of the Lunar New Year, with discussion of the anti-Asian sentiment expressed in relation to the COVID-19 Pandemic. 2022 is the Year of the Tiger. Mainers of Asian descent or heritage, such as Marpheen Chann, Cindy Han, Meilin Brodeur, Coco McCracken, Troy Huhyn, Ophelia Hu Kinney, and Tae Chong, describe how the holiday is celebrated in their families. In 2022, the Lunar New Year falls on February 1^st.
