Abstract
The Maine AIDS Alliance, The AIDS Lodging House, The AIDS Project, and the Peabody House have organized a six-week series of workshops, which started earlier this month, to address issues raised by the new "AIDS cocktail," drugs that can lengthen lives and improve the quality of life for patients with HIV. While the drugs have changed the face of the disease, they are expensive, do not work for everyone, must be taken on an exacting schedule, and can have horrendous side effects.
