Abstract

"Edge" review of a performance by Anno Daemonicus at Portland's Fine Arts Theatre in September. The band is a black metal quintet from Central Maine led by Ryan Poisson, who says his band's name translates into "year of the demon." According to Joe Rood, who is the creative force behind "Goat of the Harvest," a Portland magazine dedicated to underground music, the group's music is 100 percent black metal. With references to Herod, a band led by Portland musician Dan Harrod.
