Abstract
"City" piece on the demise of the Matlovich Society, one of Portland's first education outreach organizations for area lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and the transgendered. The society was founded in 1991 by the late Ron McClinton. Board member Larry Bliss said it was dissolved because groups like Maine Speakout Project and Maine Lesbian Gay Political Alliance duplicated Matlovich's services.
