Abstract
"City" piece on ads aimed at gay men, which Maine Times has refused to run. Stanley Israel, general manager of Maine Times, said he recently pulled the ads of two Portland businesses because it no longer runs advertising it deems "sexually oriented." Jean-Claude Poulin, owner of Jean-Claude's Hair & Skin, and Jeff Poulin, owner of Female Ego, Camden Harbor Collection and Male Ego, have accused the Maine Times of being homophobic.
