Abstract
"City" piece on a Portland City Council plan to move the Scotia Prince ferry to a new cruise ship and ferry terminal to be built on city-owned property now leased by Bath Iron Works. At public forums on the plan, residents expressed serious concerns, but City Hall is moving forward anyway. The terminal would be part of the $17 million Ocean Gateway project, a multi-use passenger facility that involves construction of a new pier for cruise ships, as well as improvements to the Maine State Pier to accommodate the expansion of Casco Bay Lines.
