Abstract

"City" piece on a new 30-unit single-room-occupancy (SRO) building expected to open in the Bayside neighborhood next year. The nonprofit York-Cumberland Housing Development Corp. is planning the project, which will cost about $4.3 million, and hopes to win approval from the Portland Planning Board this year. Each SRO will be about 300 square feet, including a small bathroom.
